Telangana IPS officers transferred

Fifteen IPS officers were transferred, including those based on promotions, by the State Government on Thursday. J. Purnachandra Rao, who was chairman of the TSLPRB was transferred and posted as the Additional Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), relieving Anurag Sharma, Director General of Police, from the additional charge he had of the department.
Govind Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP - Operations, Greyhounds & OCTOPUS) was posted as Additional Director General of Police, Crime Investigation Department (CID).

Hyderabad Traffic Police in-charge Jitender, Additional Commissioner of Police, was promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police and posted as Director of the Telangana State Police Academy.

Soumya Mishra (1994 batch), Inspector General of Police (IGP), CID, was transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police (Welfare), along with having additional charge of another post in the CID.

M. Stephen Raveendra was promoted to the rank of IGP and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Hyderabad Range, which was held by Akun Sabharwal.
Mr. Sabharwal was posted as the Director, Prohibition and Excise.
