Bhopal: City-Forest to be developed between Old Jail and Vidhan Sabha

Fixing target for plantation of 21 lakh saplings in 2020, divisional commissioner Kalpana Shrivastava instructed Divisional Conservator of Forests(DFO), Capital Project Authority(CPA) and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) to develop “City-Forest” in areas between Old Jail and Vidhan Sabha. These agencies have also been instructed to prepare blue print for City Forest development by March 20.

She was addressing a review meeting of “Cool Bhopal-Green Bhopal”-II on Thursday. In addition to Divisional Commissioner, Kalpana Shrivastava is also BMC administrator. She also instructed for fresh plantation in the place of dried –up saplings planted in previous Campaign.
